Surely something dumber has come up since my apparent forgetfulness for STDs and doctor visits.

I sign out on leave on thursday morning. I have my apartment ordeal set up, but no job to speak of. Everyone is hiring but no one is calling. The good thing is that it'll only cost me $300/month for a roof over my head with electricity, water, and cable, but I have two roommates, which is still cool because one rarely is around and the other is, well, rather eccentric.
My disability claim is being processed, and it's expected to take a damn long time, probably start collecting around March or so, but they give backpay, so that'll be like a nice little bonus. Still no fucking clue what I'm going to be rated at on disability, and I only have to get physicals every 5 years.
I'm not scared shitless, a little concerned for where I might find myself in three months, just because of the job situation, but I'm still not worried all that much. Starting to wish I never bought my car and just kept the Impreza, as I'm feeling the pinch far more often nowadays from the car on my wallet.
I'm just going to get out, get a job, and let the world take me where it pleases. Sure, it's not the best feeling in the world not knowing where you'll be in a year, let alone where I'll stand financially, but it's far better than being stuck in this archaic bullshit military system, waiting for another deployment where I see civilians making 5 times the money I do and they never leave post.
Any idea when you get out, as far as a guessed date?
