So, I was walking out of Wal-Mart today and this guy is sitting on one of the benches outside of the store with two little kids.

He shouts at me "Jesus loves you."

I say "That's great, good for him."

Then he says "All of those who seek the Lord will receive salvation."

I gave him the 'why are you talking to me?' glance as I continued walking.

"God Bless You!"

I didn't turn around.

*sigh*

Well if you've had any strange encounters with crazy Christians lately, then, yeah.

I was doing community sevice for my class at a soup kitchen and *lucky* us got to eat with the homeless. A christian guy with a long beard, tye-dyed shirt, and the appearance of Jerry Garcia started talking to us about how Jesus loved us. We got kind of scared, but picked up some nice conversation which eventually turned into him rambling on and us nodding our heads. Not a bad experience, really. I think I finally gave him my cornbread.

I can never understand Christians doing that. I mean, they could do it for months with no accomplishment. All that they are doing is getting on the nerves of people.

Me either, ferret... it didn't bother me that much, but I can see it annoying lots of other people.. especially if they were trying to talk to someone else. Seems like it's only asking for trouble, too.. just waiting to find the person who hates them the most.. then that person goes off on them..

At least you guys don't have fucking mormons knocking at your door with their anti-everything rules. The only reason they don't wont you to take drugs in that church is because you might write something while stoned and half the church will break off and follow it......

I have a good one, only it's not the Christians. I posted this at SPSW a while ago, in a Jehovas Witness thread. When I was about 4 (maybe three, not sure) I let the Jehovah's witnesses in my house, while my mom was in the shower. While I do not remember it clearly, my mom told me that when she came out, they were standing there. She yelled at them and told them to get out. Ever since I was afraid of them (not anymore) and referred to them as "Churches".
I now know why doves cry.

There was a priest outside my school that was giving out free pocket sized bibles.

It just so happened one of my shoes were uneven, so I used it to balance my shoe.

Today, while on a walk, a man of about twenty-five years of age tried to convert me to christianity.

Being a christian, I found it extremely odd, and inquired as to why he was attempting to interefere with others personal lives.

I am not joking when I say that the man retorted by saying "I'm trying to save people like you from the burning hells."

After telling the man I was christian, I gave him no chance to speak as I acted frightened saying "Y-you mean... christians are going to hell?"

Gee... I don't think I can ever recall a more embarrassed look on someone's face. I can never understand why people try to convert others. Religion is a personal choice, and as such, is a piece of life that most people could care less about.

I am of a religion, but all it means is "Yes, I do believe in this and that." However, with me, it's not true. I believe in what I want to, even if it goes against "my" religion.

Blah, that's mah schpeeling.
There was once a time when I thought people were okay. Then I realized that the greater percent of the population are a bunch of discriminatory idiots. Now I spend as much time as I can alone.

When I was away at school, there was this really weird lady that would stand outside the student union with her kids and tell every student that passed that they were going to hell. People would crowd around and yell things to her or she would just pick a random person out of the crowd and tell them that they were sentenced to eternity in hell due to all their drinking, drugs, rock n' roll, and sex. She was fucked up and so were her kids. People like that give Christians a bad name.

You'd think they should be out volunteering or helping out the needy instead of wasting their time talking to people who don't give a fuck.

Haha, when I first saw that picture, it really looked like the man had his little boy on a leash. Physically, not, y'know, metaphorically. But yes, that IS sad.

EDIT: NNY's picture, if it wasn't obvious.
