Have you ever had a crush on someone that you normally wouldn't really like? Not celebrities, but people in real life.
For example, there is this girl in my spanish class with thick glasses, a really quiet voice, and is incredibly humble. She dresses oddly as well, she also isn't really very attractive physically.
But still I have some sort of odd attraction to her.

I'm looking for your examples of the people you've liked but never wanted to tell your buddies about. LOL IM SUCH A FAG!!

Well Danielle, when you turned your back on our religion and basically questioned all of our values and practically insulted our whole sense of faith and our lifestyle, we were alright with that, we let that slide. THEN you came and said that you're attracted to women, we thought that was questionable, but we could get used to it. But the day that you have pornographic videos on your computer, YOU'RE FUCKING OUT. - Danielle's parents

I'm assuming that you're referring to crushes on people who aren't considered to be at the height of what is generally accepted as attractive.

I had a little crush on the guy who was in love with my good friend. He was pretty "dorky" at the beginning of our high school years (who wasn't?), but the more I got to know him, the more I liked him. He wore glasses and braces, was a little on the chubby side, and his voice cracked ever so often, but he was a great guy. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and he had brilliant aspirations that I have no doubt that he will accomplish. Damn, what a missed opportunity.

Anyway, everyone at my high school was horribly ugly and stupid so if I had a crush on anyone I'd consider it weird. I'll scan a page of the yearbook to prove it.

I noticed that too, but decided to be as "subliminal" about it as possible.

And Mel, how can EVERYONE at your highschool be ugly? You went there. :/

I had a crush on a stripper once. I usually like girls who take really good care of themselves and present themselves nicely but she was particularily trashy. Not just because she was a stripper, she was just trashy in general. I'd see her out in some pretty nasty looking outfits and she had tattoos all over her body. She was actually pretty gross but I had a crush on her anyway. Thank God that passed.

The flip side: my best friend in high school was a nerdy guy who, although a football player, was just not cool enough for me to consider date material. He had bad acne and was soft, not muscular, and tall and gawky. He was devoted to me, though, and followed me around like a puppy. Although I loved hanging out with him, I was always going out with the senior guys and hanging out with the partiers. I knew how in love with me he was, but I made it clear to him that it was never to be.

I saw him a few years ago, and spent the good part of an evening kicking myself for the gorgeous attorney he turned out to be.

No, he was actually very wonderful. We laughed as hard as we did in high school. He showed me pictures of his wife (he admitted that he was first attracted to her because she looks an awful lot like me) and his new baby. They're living in Savannah, now, and have a great life. *sigh*

On one end I feel sorry for you, because you're a cool lady, but on the otherhand you just demonstrated what I hate about girls... passing the nice guy for the cool guy. (guess what, lol? I was never cool MAGUSMAGUSMAGUSMAGUS) I'm glad he made good for himself. Off course I wish you well too.

Here *passing another spoon and bowl, adding generous sprinkles*.

Nah, I'm happy for him. I made my choices, and I probably would have broken his heart, if I'd gone out with him back then, and we wouldn't be friends at all now. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was pretty shallow in high school. It's part of that proverbial "learning and growing as a person" deal.

He needed someone who would appreciate him for the man he became. I'm glad he was lucky enough to find her.

Waterfront property in historic Savannah with a guy who worships me? Nah, I don't need all that...shit, I'm out of sprinkles.
