I personally prefer Rock and Metal, and my favorite bands are Nirvana(may Kurt Cobain rest in Peace), Tool, Korn(I'm not too impressed by their most recent album), System of a Down, Static-X and Drowning Pool.

Take the poll, talk about your favorite Bands/artists. Have fun.

You didn't put "electronica" in there anywhere.

Fave bands at the moment are probably:

Tool
Alice in Chains
Boards of Canada
Nine Inch Nails
Nemesis
Zuri's Cat

i've really been digging the Hospital label recently. they have been putting out some drum and bass singles that i really enjoy.

i also really really like house music, which would also fall under electronica.

You get negative karma for being narrow minded in your knowledge of musical styles. And not including electronica.

Mainly rock and metal, but I listen to all sorts of stuff. I find that while I dislike the vast majority of rap and pop I hear, I still find various things are good, but on the whole, I don't listen to those and some other genres as much.

I selected all of the options you gave, except for Rap/HipHop. I chacked "Other" because there are a number more, such as electronica.

And ska.

A guy I know likes electronica above all, and he sometimes lends me some CDs (not only electronica, a little bit of everything). I liked some of them: Portishead, Tricky and DJ Shadow. But I still prefer rock, metal and punk.

Definitely electronica - there's a fantastic amount of artists and great songs in that category - and there's a lot of sub-categories of it. My favourite music? House, hard house, techno, trance, progressive trance, hard trance, ambient and some classical.

Check out Delerium for some different sound, though. You might like some of their stuff. And definitely try Orbital.

I enjoy mosts music genres, but I especially like:

Techno
Industrial (X Marks the Pedwalk!)
Electronica
Goth
80's pop/techno
Classical
Show Tunes
Movie Soundtracks
and New Age
I dream of the bear. Once again, it shambles out of the forest. Once again, it lumbers towards me. But this time, although I am wet with fear, my fear has a different quality, and I realize that either I do not expect the encounter will kill me or I don't mind the thought of dying quite as much as I once did.
Again the bear bends over me. But instead of licking me, it opens its jaws over my face, so wide that my whole head is inside its mouth and I am looking down the dark tunnel of its throat. I feel its teeth meet through my neck, and I know it has bitten off my head. But when it lifts its mouth from my empty shoulders, I can see the world as well as ever - in fact, things have a lucidity I had never before imagined, and I think, What an effort it was to have to lug my head around with me for so long.

I don't know, this friend I'm talking about lent me "Mezzanine" too (or another Massive Attack's album, I'm not 100% sure), and while I liked a few songs, it's not for me after all.
