The new official drunk-ass INTL story/discussion thread.

I've actually been on a moderation kick the past week. I had three beers tonight, the only alcohol I've had since last Saturday when my friend threw a party and I got properly shitfaced. I got continually hit on and had to fend off the extremely appealing advances of my drunk, horny married friend and then drunkenly cussed out my good friend who was hosting the party for taking my girlfriend's car keys. Then I spent the entire next day vomiting profusely and got sent home from work. All in all a grand failure.

I've been on a sober tear since a Labor Day party. Up until last week I hadn't had more than one drink at a time since then. Last week was a Union (soccer) game that I tailgated. 4-5 beers, but I was completely sober by the time the game was over. This weekend I had two halloween parties that started with a little buzz but ended in complete sobriety.

I'm planning to get properly drunk at next weekend's party, though.

On Friday I was drinking some beer and some vodka (not at the same time) then we went to the roof and smoked a joint. Beer makes me tired, weed makes me tired, and together they pretty much put me to sleep. The next day I woke up at like 6:30 AM and we drove to the US border and I smuggled a Mexican across.

I'm getting drunk November 10th.

I mean, I drink a beer or two about every night with dinner and while watching TV or doing homework, but I don't really get drunk very often. Sam Adams Octoberfest is the so damn delicious I can't help but down a few in the evening.

But November 10th is Madden Day. What is Madden Day? I'M GLAD YOU ASKED.

We take the day off work, set up a few beer pong tables at 7 am and play pong until about 9 am or so. Then we set up 4 or 5 TVs with Xboxes and play a round robin Madden tournament with lots of alcohol. By the end of the Round Robin I am fairly sauced, since it's like 7 games.

Next comes the playoffs and the Superbowl (I won this last year, so I have a cheerleading trophy on my desk), followed by getting out the PS3s and playing Black Ops, or Modern Warfare 3 if I can get someone else to buy a copy besides me, and maybe defaulting to some Halo 2, which is what this day actually started as, but people were getting too tired of the same 3 of us beating the bejesus out of them.

Anyway, November 10th, I will be drunk. Very drunk. Last year I downed a bottle of whiskey and the better part of a case of beer in the course of the day. My wife says I was an asshole, but whatever, I won because I woke up with the trophy.

I can get pretty decent white wine for €1.49 at the grocery store (red's a huge mess, it's basically not worth drinking red wine here), and half-liters of beer for €0.50 at the liquor store. If you go to the grocery store to buy beer it's even cheaper but then I have to carry it all the way home and up hella stairs and then hope there's room in the fridge so usually I just get cold ones at the place around the corner. Hard liquor is also really cheap, like a fifth of vodka is around €5-6. Jägermeister too. I recently found a bar that sells half-liters of good beer for €1.60, that's a really good deal for a bar

there's this one bar called the Weinerei, and you pay two euro at the door and they give you a wine glass. There are wine bottles sitting out everywhere and it's basically a mad rush to drink as much wine as you can before they close at midnight. at the end you pay what you think is a fair price, usually I put in three or four euro. It's a great deal

no, most places don't close at all, or at least not until the morning. Weekdays they might close between four and six AM but weekends you don't really have to go home at all

Eh, smoking gange then drinking is a bad way to go for me. I find reversed is better.

Though this weekend was a fairwell to my getting real drunk/fecked attitude. It just produces so much listlessness.

Plus getting drunk with pedantic college girls is not v fun.
