In my link which caused us problems, I used a javascript code which I took from some html help website. At the bottom of the code (hidden on the page) was a suppressed note "this javascript code from www.freehtmlhelp.com" or something. The only way you could see or use the link was if checked out the source and copy/pasted it, it wasn't anywhere on the page.
Anyway I had the page on INTL for a long time (with the extra link in the html) without sharing it with anyone, but I noticed it before right before putting it on reddit and deleted the extra code/link.
The warning on our malware diagnostics page now is this
Quote: Of the 2 pages we tested on the site over the past 90 days, 1 page(s) resulted in malicious software being downloaded and installed without user consent. The last time Google visited this site was on 2011-08-05, and the last time suspicious content was found on this site was on 2011-08-05.
Malicious software is hosted on 1 domain(s), including whitepix.info/.
This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS26347 (DREAMHOST).
And I believe the whitepix.info may have been the link that was in my html that I mentioned above. I don't know what that website is now (as they have a malware warning), but when I first got it it was just a script help website. Anyway i'm guessing since there is a malware warning on whitepix.info, and google at some point indexed my page with the url whitepix.info somewhere in the code, and then suddenly intl got a bajillion more hits than usual, we got flagged as well.
