May as well get the ball rolling, anyone else interested in the Olympics? Anyone looking forward to them? Any events you're planning to watch? Any athletes that you are cheering for?

I'm so fucking jazzed for the Olympics. Every two years when the Olympics roll around my world pretty much stops while I immerse myself in the whole ordeal. Maybe if I'm lucky, there will be some riding on tv (lolyearite). Other than that, swimming & diving are annual faves and for some reason I'm fascinated by the trampoline. It's hilarious. However, I'll watching pretty much anything involving the Olympics, even baseball/soccer/basketball, all of which I hate. It's like my crack.

I love the Summer Olympics. The events are some time hilarious, and the announcers are always hilarious. I just hope them being in China wont make the television coverage suck as much as the Nagano Olympics did, but I don't think it will, I think CBS just dropped the ball on that hardcore.

Track, swimming, women's gymnastics are my faves. But I'll watch it as much as I can.

I always like obscure sports, as is shown by my recent interest in baseball. (Which is extremely obscure here)

I also follow the tour de france every year (cycling) and a lot of other obscure events.
I'm especially fascinated by the team sports that are obscure here but huge in other parts of the world, like cricket or field hockey.

And as we know, the olympics are just a huge orgy of obscure sports which are never shown outside of the olympics.
Also i've learned that the Swedish state-owned television will show every single event on their internet site, so i can choose to watch the strangest sports possible.

Weird obscure sports? How about fucking Water Polo? Weirdest sport ever.

Summer games are clearly the more comical of the two.

Largely, I don't care much about the Summer games...at least in comparison to the winter games. But I'm gonna watch the baseball and basketball as much as I can.

Are the pro baseball players not allowed to play? I know many of the good Canadian Baseball players aren't playing, which is a shame because I bet Canada would have a pretty competitive team.

Justin Morneau
Jason Bay
Joey Votto
Russell Martin
Matt Stairs

Rich Harden
Ryan Dempster
Erik Bedard
Jeff Francis

...that's not an awful team. Granted they'd have to round out the roster with a bunch of AAA players and some lesser known major leaguers, but I still think it'd be really fun to watch. Too bad none of the players I listed are actually going.

Canadian basketball team isn't going to make it I don't think...mostly becuase Nash is too old now and Jamal Magloire and Samuel Dalembert are huge faggots.

I'll probably intermittently watch some random events, but the overall interest level isn't really that strong.

The pros never play baseball it seems like. I think it has more to do with their MLB teams than the Olympic teams though. There were many who didn't want their players in the Baseball World Cup due to injury possibilities, etc.

The olympic soccer tournaments start tomorrow, Sweden plays China in womens.

Womens soccer is pretty big here because Sweden is pretty good and has the best league.
And unlike mens soccer, in womens soccer the olympics are a really big deal.

I don't know why that was such a big deal, she was wearing a fucking sports bra.

Female athletes in lots of other olympic sports show more tits in their regular competing outfits.
