This movie playing for free on campus on Wednesday night. I would've seen it earlier, but this is the midwest, so unless there's cowboys, we aren't getting a limited release movie. Anyway, it had a fairly large impact, I would think, since McDonald's dropped "Supersize" after it came out.

Has anyone seen this? I want to see it, but not if it's going to be like a Michael Moore documentary, bias.

Read Fast Food Nation along with this movie, and I can guarantee that you will never touch a Big Mac again.

I saw this when I was home on leave. I thought it was really funny and well done. I agree that the premise is common sense, but it is pretty amazing to really see the effects of eating nothing but McDonalds for 30 days straight.

I'm also rather impressed that it was Spurlock's first full-length film (even if it technically is a documentary) and it seemed as though he had done a dozen before it.

Favorite part was when they were in the classroom and he was showing the children pictures of famous people. All the kids recognized all the McDonalds characters, but didn't recognize the picture of Jesus.

Its very well done. You defiently do not want to eat any kind of fast food again. You will be more shocked of alot of the junk that is in certain foods you wouldnt expect to be fatty or some of the awful side effects this guy goes through while eating mcdonalds for 30 days.

I already don't want to eat there, I know how it's all made, but I imagine it would be interesting to see how fatty it is even after we drain all that crap off of the meat.

I haven't seen it yet, but from the reviews I've read it's supposed to be quite a well made film.

I'm worried that it's going to be another Fahrenheit 9/11 - devioed of any well balenced arguements. Of course eating MacDonalds everyday is going to be a bad, unhealthy idea, I just hope that the film achkowledges that in some way.

My interest in this film was really sparked when the producers of the film and MacDonalds started buying full page adds in English broadsheet papers to argue with each other.

I guess they figured no fatties in America cared enough to read them here. Was it a full release over there? It seems like very few theaters carried it here. The closest place from my house when it came out was 2.5 hours away.

I think it's on everywhere, I've seen it at advertised at all the usual cinemas I go to.

I really want to see this, even though at this point I feel like I know everything that happens in the film anyway. I haven't read Fast Food Nation yet either. All on my life to do list. I love McDonalds though, and as grossed out as the movie may make me, I somehow doubt that I'll actually stop eating there. It's not like I have McDonalds 3 times a day every day though!

I haven't seen this yet, but I'm planning on it. I didn't think it would even be showing anywhere near me, but it is. Yay.

Here is the site, in case anyone wants to find a screening near them or anything like that. http://www.supersizeme.com/

This is one I've wanted to watch - and I know it's playing in a local theatre this month or next some time. From what I see here, it's worth seeing... was it at all boring, for those that saw it?

Wow, I just got back from it and wow.

It was a lot more laid back than I thought it would be, but the message still definitely got across. I got bored a few times, mainly when the physicians were all saying the same thing, but for the most part, the movie flowed quite well. It's amazing the effects that food can have on you.

Side note: I really didn't like his girlfriend. Comparing ham to heroine. Though his counterpoint was great, "I can be strung out on ham for days and there's no real real consequence."

Edit: I just remembered something. The same food company that was giving all that crap to kids in the middle school provides our food. Unfortunately, our food looks nowhere near as good as that.

Good, that's what I wanted to hear. I'm looking forward to seeing it now.
