I plan to vote for Kerry not because I like him, but because he isn't Bush.

Eep! Where's the Ralph Nader button?
When we were young the future was so bright
The old neighbourhood was so alive
And every kid on the whole damn street
Was gonna make it big and not be beat
Now the neighbourhood's cracked and torn
The kids are grown up but their lives are worn
How can one little street
Swallow so many lives

It all started when I was 11. I said to myself, people in prison are different. I wanted to be different too.

It's truly all about the change of names. That's my only reason right now. Unite behind Kerry, and then make sure he doesn't fuck up.

Are you people representative of the American society? Of the youth at least?

I'm guessing you don't have a communist party, so I might have to vote for Nader.
"I can't see a *thing*," says Margret, squinting over the steering wheel. "Really - I can't even see two feet beyond the bonnet because of this sun."

"Perhaps," I suggest, trying to keep the tremble out of my voice, "you might want to slow down a little then?"

Margret sighs, sadly. "No - that's no use. I can't see any better even if I drive slowly."

We have both Communist and Democratic Socialist parties. They're just very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very small.

Our country has a stubborn two-party system.

He's not who I wanted in the white house (Dean MAGUSMAGUSMAGUSMAGUS ), but he's better on foreign policy and economical issues than Bush.
Not to mention that he's not a huge fucking war monger.

Kerry is getting my vote. You can't win in this country if you're not a centrist, and Bush is surely one of the most right-wing politicians out there (even though it's still not very far right in world political terms). Besides, I have leftist/liberal views.

As much as I would love to vote for Nader as opposed to Kerry... I'm going with Kerry. Any liberal voter who votes for anyone but Kerry in this cycle is a moron- its not worth 'letting your voice be heard' if it means Bush wins again. We're unfortunatly in an all-or-nothing system:/

Well, your system is not bipartidist by law; to change things you only have to vote for other parties. If everybody did it, things would change eventually.

Bush, if the most likely alternative is Kerry. I may disagree with some of his administration's policies, but he's, IMO, the lesser of the two evils. And though many may disagree, Americans do not simply elect a leader for themselves; they are also electing a de facto leader of the free world, and I'd rather Bush than Kerry lead it, even if Bush did some things wrong.

Kerry was the one democratic candidate I did not like. Though I don't want Bush to return, it will be rather hard voting for the alternative.

Is it possible to vote for someone who is not named as a candidate? Ie, writing the name of the one you wish to vote for on the ballot card instead of checking/punching the hole/etc of the candidates list?
